As musicians who have been called to use our gifts and talents in service to the Lord, we must remember that leading the music, conducting the choir, or perhaps presenting a solo piece for the meeting ... whatever we are called upon to do ... is not a performance. It is an opportunity to bless the lives of others and ourselves by using what we have been given for the uplift and benefit of others. It is an opportunity to share our beliefs, our testimonies and our hearts with a few of Heavenly Father's children through the glorious medium that we know and love - music.
When we serve with humility and love, we will receive an increase in our own spirituality and our own abilities will increase. We can never give more to the Lord than He will return to us. It is an uneven scale. He will always bless us more than we can repay.
